I dunno.... the car did just release and retails for around 23k.. I think it would cheaper for insurance to fit the repair bill vs dropping the cash for another one.

A deer strike would have more localized damage. Looks to me like somebody hit a wall or t-boned another car.

Could be I suppose. Damage I sustained when I hit a deer years ago looked very similar though. I was at 55mph coming over a ridge on a dark and rainy night with a vehicle shining its lights in my eyes and all of a sudden a deer was in my lane. Maybe enough time to hit the brake and BAM, dead deer and dead front end.

Who knows, probably driver inattention as many have said.

I got plowed into by a woman on her cell phone in my 2003 just 1 month after driving off the lot. She hit me so hard that it bent my seat back about a foot. She pushed me into the car in front of me. My car looked a lot like that but on both the front and back. My car wasn't totaled. I have a funny feeling, unless the frame is really badly damaged...that this car won't be totaled. I could be wrong...but I have seen worse not get totaled.

Sorry to see this happen man I hope everything works out for you. I got rear ended about 2 weeks ago as well luckily it wasn't too bad. Car is at a body shop getting repaired at the moment.

its not a deer in dallas... i can assure you that.... there is road construction all over the place out here... If you were to see a deer it will be WAAY off into the Burbs on all the outskirts of Dallas....deer warning in denton but have yet to see one... at least up here

Could be a deer collision I suppose. It is the rut, and this is the time of year I hit a deer about 20 years ago.

I have hit 5 deer in vehicles since 1979 a deer dented the hood of my 76' Scirocco though in 1989 I did $1800 damage to my 86 Ranger when one jumped in front of me when I was going 65. I also killed two of them in my 93' Ranger. it' a constant threat here in Vermont.
