The 35 is one of my favorite lenses to shoot with. I’ll probably add an 85 Sigma Art next.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and just came across this thread. I love photography in general. I do Automotive Photography on the side and I enjoy shooting Landscapes as well. I don't really enjoy taking photos of people though. They move around too much.

I shoot with a Sony A7RII and all of my photos are shot with either a FE 4/16-35, FE 4/70-200 G, or a FE 1.8/55

Here are a few landscapes. I live just north of Dallas. We don't have a lot of scenery here so I really only get to do cool landscapes when I'm on vacation.

You desaturate the background in most of these ?

Yes, but not just the backgrounds. I tend to desaturate the entire photo and then bring out the colors or subjects I want to be the focus. I prefer a less saturated photo in general. I also use some color presets, and I've noticed a lot of them (at least the ones I like) also desaturate. I used to over saturate my photos when I was first learning, and now I stay away from it.

Yea I only oversaturate if my background calls for it. I’ll typically add a Lutz at the end too. Shoot me your IG. Would love to follow you:

My IG and FB both are mikemphotos. Haven’t posted in a while, I got a little burnt out, but I’ve been planning to get back to it. I just need something new and cool to shoot.
