It's a mess everywhere. I'm in IT and can't get equipment for 4+ months that would normally take 2 weeks.

I ordered a QA1 carbon fiber driveshaft with my Magnum XL swap kit. QA1 now says they can't make driveshafts right now as they are waiting on the bonding resin from 3M. 3M says maybe this fall or later....

I will say it's a tough pill to swallow paying it all up front for what these kits cost. I can see putting a deposit down, then pay the rest when it ships. The vendors and manufactures also need to be more transparent with the customer on the backorders and delays.

I don't agree with it 'ruining' the Whipple brand, because obviously there is a high demand for their product. But I do see it costing them some sales.
I mean it definitely cost them my $7-$8k. But it is what it is.

I’d be surprised if there margin is 25-30 percent of the price. That being said, if I had cancelled my order or you yours, Whipple doesn’t have a shortage of people wanting there kits. They would of hardly noticed If at all. Current supply issue’s aside, they’ve earned the reputation for the product they produce.

Heres the one I got

I wonder if there is actually no difference in performance, doesnt make sense to have 2 types though.
I was wondering the same thing since I placed my order on june 4th. According to Terry there's no difference in performance, only difference is in the setup.

Quick update as I start my own thread...looking good - it is pretty involved to do correctly. Instructions are not fantastic.

I seem to have the "newer" version - with dual ports. Whatever that means...looks really good. Super excited to break in the trans and clutches...

Curious where you find the instructions lacking and what advice can you give about them?

Thanks!

I would love to tell you right off the cuff - but although I just heard a great example today - I have forgotten lol. It was a step not mentioned in the instructions. I will try to find out for you...

Nice👌🏾. How long did it take you to install? I haven't started on mine yet. I'm waiting for my Ben calimer Trans to return to allow for better access from the top of the engine.

Congrats, looks good.

Are you going to sell your OE manifold and CAI? Just curious cause I'm on the fence about whether to keep mine or not. I've kept all my OE parts so far (catback, springs, air filter, sound tube and now manifold/CAI) and their stacking up in the garage. I dont plan on going back to stock or selling the car anytime soon, and I'll probably be dead and gone before my PP2 becomes valuable enough that people will pay for a non-molested one, if ever.

Zpd and I worked together to make a writeup on where the instructions needed a bit more clarity. Zpd posted a thread specific for that. Was probably a couple months back. I will try to find it
