Option 1. I have a 2015 PP and went straight to the gen5 stage 2 with larger tb and oversized HE. My car is a manual with 3.73 so it shreds the tires. Mine is also pure fun(no track) and is plenty fun on just 93. Perfect drivability with whipple tune and packs the punch when needed.

If you have not tried calling i would do that over email. I am sure they will take care of it. I installed mine a year ago and while a couple steps were not exact as the parts, everything fit as expected. I assume you got a powder coated unit?

I have the oversized on my stage 2 and the iat’s have been very good and timing holds even when it was 90’s and high humidity. if a larger unit was worse then whipple would not sell it.
