what is the major difference that justifies the huge price increase?

This car is the latest one out, demand is greater for parts, R&D costs for new parts are trying to be recouped.

they honestly wont go down in price. exhaust systems are the same price now for the 2011 5.0's as they were back in 2011.. and these brakes weigh in at like 55 pounds lighter than our brembos which makes a huge difference. And for the record.. they are insannnnllyyyyy cheap.. our brakes (or something of the equivalent) are upwards of 4k+ and these are only 1400.

Now don't get me wrong I am not saying they are too much or complaining...just having a conversation on what justifies the price jump from one yr to another ...everybody has to make a living I get that and I am by no means knocking anyone for that and when it comes time that I am so modded out that I can't go any faster without shaving 55 pounds off my car I will most likely go this route ...

Very informative thread! Can't wait to see what a K-Member swap will do. Shocked to see the front control arms are as light as they are. Huge difference over my old Fox body. Going to have to ditch these heavy ass seats when I get a chance, stock GT cloth do feel nice, but 100lbs for 2 seats seems excessive. The weight savings on a 1 piece driveshaft looks great too!

Odd, haven't received it yet but my corsa xtreme catback package is listed as 73lbs via fedex tracking. That seems heavy from what I see in here.
