I'll TTT this since I've put in a couple new measurements. It's astonishing how the supply is remaining steady and the price remains low. No "hand-sanitizer" diversion of EtOH is affecting our supply.

I have two propel stations pretty close to me in Sacramento. I try to stay around 60%, so i haven't really checked what the full e85 percentage is. I usually put in 3 gallons 91 and the rest e85.

(Pumps say KAL EL and warn that it's 51-83% ethanol, but my boost monkey kit had them at 88, go figure)

Also, exciting news, they've an even closer station coming to the Auto Club Speedway very soon, I believe it'll be the Chevron just like two blocks North of it.

I tested many time WILLOW PASS in Concord
And SUNOL on 680 close to Fremont.
Both are min E83 everytime.

I'm shooting this TTT, because of an interesting observation: I tested a location 11/21 that is low altitude, in a valley, and was quite warm Saturday around noon. I tested a location 11/23 that was high elevation (~4000 feet), cold, at night. Same distributor but the low elevation sample reading was 90% and about 2.5% higher than the high elevation sample.

Significant? Any explanation?

Could be a different batch. I've worked in the petrochemical industry.
Ethanol that is shipped via railcar is denatured to prevent human consumption. It's further blended down to whatever alcohol content is desired at the fuel terminal, before distribution to the public.
Ethanol that comes vis barge or ship is usually pure alcohol and is the blended down and distributed the same way.
The variance could be a simple mathematical error, someone not paying attention or a mechanical malfunction at the fuel terminal.

Those are usually Chevrons - they contract with Pearson and have uniformly high (>85% EtOH) readings.

Do us a favor and get a kit and sample some of the places where you live.

Got my lowest reading ever yesterday: 86% in Corona. I'm going to get another sample today from a different location.

I'm noticing a drop-off in readings - what used to be reliably 89-90% is coming in at 85-86%.
