Hello fellow S550 enthusiasts. New to the forum thought I would introduce myself and my vehicle.

Name is Chris. I have a 22' Ford Mustang GT Premium, 6 spd manual. Bought in Colorado brand new. I now live in Dallas, TX. Only 9800 mi.

I'm here mainly for aftermarket thoughts and suggestions.

Current mods:

Steeda Clutch Spring Assist and Perch
Barton Hybrid 3 Short Throw Shifter

Future short term (1-2 years) wish list:

Cat-back exhaust preferably Borla Atak
Cold air intake that does not require tune so I don't risk losing my warranty
Suspension upgrade looking at either the Steeda Pro Active Shocks, Struts and Springs DIFM or KONI Special Active Strut and Shock kit with Eibach Pro Kit Spring set

Future long term (3-5) wish list:

All interior trim pieces hydro-dipped in Matte Carbon fiber. No 3M overlay

Shelby Wheel set

AlfaRex Headlight Nova-Series LED Alpha Black Projector Pair

Very nice dream list on a nice looking pony. BTW, I grew up in the Springs.

Welcome. Ditch the cold air intake as they do nothing over the factory intake except suck hot air. The factory intake is a cold air intake. There’s a great thread I just posted in about this.

since you have a ‘22 like me, just rip out the carbon filter in your intake lid and you gain 10hp. Seriously Just rip the whole thing out, it’s just lightly plastic welded in there. Don’t mess with any of the other stuff in the intake tube or lid. Post a pic if you want to be sure you got it correctly and I’ll tell you.

Look into just an x-pipe with resonator then, I think maybe steeda makes one? I made my own using the ford performance x-pipe and two vibrant resonators. If loud is what you want you’ll get it, but keep your ability to go silent in quiet mode. It also lowers the tone, kills rasp, and sounds phenomenal on start up whereas most catbacks rasp. Big bonus is it’s much cheaper and easier to install than a full cat back.

I just did all this stuff to my ‘22 after getting my car in January so trying to share what I learned so far
