Yeah, I did consider that. The engine does sit perfectly level everywhere else though.

Overall the passenger side sits a little higher and I’ve noticed that the passenger side is a little closer to the body, too. The connection for the catback is about 1/2” offset to the passenger side, even with the engine moved over in the mounts as far as it will go toward the driver side.

Neither is a huge deal, but could you please post up after you get yours in? I’m curious to see if they all sit like this or if my car is just off somehow.

I actually had a similar issue with my MBRP headers on my 2015. They were very close the the passenger side on the body. I shifted the engine over and it still made contact with the body during hard cornering.

I eventually shifted the trans mount over too lol.

Thankfully I don’t have any contact anywhere...it just bugs me because I really like things to be symmetrical and even. I can tell when looking down the center of the car that the whole exhaust is shifted about a half an inch over toward the passenger side.

I got mine today. Everything looks great except a couple things. The fake cats could just be regular pipes and the the way the outgoing pipe is welded should be changed. It should be welded to the outside of the fake cat not stuck inside and then welded. Yes, I'm nit picking. The primaries could be centered a little better, but by no means are they terrible. BBK and ebay headers are far worse in this department. Lastly, they could include plugs for the rear 02 holes. Not a big deal though.

For the good, the collector welds looks good as well as the primary welds. The merge spoke welds are a little goober but every set I've seen with a merge spike look like this lol. Everything goes together very easily. The x-pipe is fantastic and the inner welds look perfect. One of the best x-pipes I've seen. Also, like another member has stated, the new versions have angled 02 bungs.

Another plus side to this kit, it replaces most of your piping to the axle back. So this is great for people want to keep the active exhaust like me, but replace as much of 2.5" pipe as possible. I'll update when I begin the installation.

Please post up once you get them on. I’m curious to see if yours are slightly off center and slightly lower on one side like mine fit.

I had my TSP (25-TSP50178H-CON-CAT) installed recently and I am getting an intermittent but persistent (very) light thunking sound, which I believe is coming from the passenger side. Shop owner said right away that the tubes are more than likely knocking up against something--but can easily be corrected by adding a bracket or hanger to better secure the header. The passenger side fit is very tight, so I'm just guessing his assessment makes sense. However, for all those who have them installed, I'd be interested to know your thoughts and/or experience. I've had headers in almost every car I've owned--which in and of itself doesn't mean much, but this is a first.

At any rate, took the car to a performance muffler shop...the owner also assumed the header was more than likely vibrating enough to knock up against something and will have it up on the lift this Friday (he's also adding bungs for the downstream o2 sensors).

You’ll have to identify what is hitting. I can’t see how adding a hanger would do any good. If the primaries are hitting the frame rail on the passenger side, shifting the engine toward the driver side may help. I have my engine shifted over as far as possible to give more clearance on the passenger side, as it is much tighter over there.

I'll have a better idea tomorrow, when the car goes up on the lift. I take it you had a similar issue prior to shifting the motor (how far over?). I know just enough about cars to be stupid, but once we find out where contact is being made, I'd be interested (and grateful) for viable solutions. So, more to follow after tomorrow.

I never had any issues with anything hitting. I shifted the engine over as far as it would go to the driver side proactively. It probably would hit if I didn’t do this

The way the headers fit on my car, the entire exhaust sits toward the passenger side. I have plenty of clearance on the passenger side, but there is even more room on the driver side. Wish I could see other cars to compare mine to. This may just be the way they fit.

Not sure if this link will work, but a quick shot from the top down shows a possible point of contact. I'm on the road, so uploading pics isn't possible at the moment. Again, I'll have a better idea tomorrow.

That's crazy close. With these soft motor mounts, I could definitely see it hitting.

Hopefully you can adjust the motor over a 1/4". You can also shift things over via the trans mount.

As I mentioned, I'm no expert and have yet to determine what contact is being made; however, I've heard from a number of people, all of whom seem to be divided on the possibility and prudence of shifting the motor. Honestly, I don't know enough to know how that works (meaning, the actual steps/work/cost of moving the engine laterally). Even if I don't have a solution, I'll have better insight into the problem after tomorrow...

I had a second and third set of eyes on the TSP headers, and all agreed that, despite the proximity, the headers are not (at the moment) making contact w/the frame (or the AC line). So, for the moment, I'm ruling out the source of an odd and interment sound that presented itself directly after the header install.

Aside, I'm thinking of getting a set of BMR motor mounts (I don't mind the NVH) to help ensure a little stability.

I've posted a separate thread w/vid of the intermittent sound I'm getting ever since the header install...

What you have pictured here is about the same clearance I have with mine and Nothing touches, even under hard engine torquing.

Another tight spot is the passenger side lead pipe. Mine is fairly close to the floorboard and the transmission crossmember, but no contact there either. Worth checking, though
