You bought the transmission for less than 2k? Where?
I said I had less then 2K in it. The transmission and Coolers came direct from Ford, special price for Tech pack owners and then I sold the non Tech pack Trans. There was a lot of interest in it when I advertised

What is the OTD price for the transmission from FP? When I reached out to them they came back with something like 4k (I think.... was moths ago).

When I did the math I think the diff and transmission installed wasn't too far from 10k.

Also love my Tech package 16'

That was what I was getting at as well...Guess I was wondering what the special price was as I don't believe I'd ever heard of such a thing. I'm still considering one or the other and it would be good to know which way to go, though it seems to make sense to just add the cooler and manual pump with FORscan.

I have to find a shop to do this as well...I don't have time, tools or facility....

Retail on the Track Pack tranny is $4800.

As stated in the threads on this topic, those of us who purchased though Diversified Products Marketing got it for way less. I paid $3050 for BOTH the tranny and cooler kit.

I paid about $1100 labor to have it all installed, and sold the Tech Pack tranny for $2500.

So I was in it for 3050+1100-2500=$1650.

Did you get the thermometer hooked up to the display in the dash? What about the diff?

For normal guys with no special connections you can go to White Bear Lake Autonation Ford and get a good price. It's better than MSRP, anyway.

Still a lot of money for all the parts needed. At least a handful of track events plus consumables worth of money.

I looked into last year. At the time, FP would give “approval” for reduced price transmission and cooler kit. You could then shop around to different dealers to get the best price.

Add me to the “love my Tech” list but deciding on which way to go w cooling the xmsn is a real PITA.

2700 no core. You have to get approved by Ford

I like to disassemble things.
No special connections required. Just call DPM and ask for Mike.

There are a few great Ford Racing warehouses/vendors out there. I've dealt with Mike at Buyfordracing/Diversified Products Marketing for nearly 30 years now. He's as close in proximity to Ford Racing as can be and has some of the best pricing you can find.

My bad, I thought you were talking about a special price. I dimly remember some people buying the kits before Ford even announced them, so I was thinking it was something associated with that.

Those transmissions were moved through Mike and sold so fast it triggered a halt from Ford Racing as they were not prepared for demand.

Patio, that was what happened in the past. Go ahead and reach out to a FR vendor if you want to purchase some of the related hardware.

Ah I see. I remember waiting at least 6 months for my local dealer Autonation White Bear Lake to be able to get the parts after those early transmissions went out.

Then waiting for the rear diff stuff. I was very appreciative that FP seemed to move quite a bit faster on the rear diff and even made a special pump and kit for the tech pack cars. I definitely didn't want to go to the road course with my transmission fixed up but no protection for the rear differential.

I really like my tech pack car, but I would 100% have waited and bought a later car knowing what I know now.
