I disagree simply from the standpoint that not using a saver causes all your OBD II readiness monitors to reset so you'll have to do one or more drive cycles to get them to become ready.

I bet the tool is the one used to properly torque the top strut nut. Putting a regular socket over the nut prevents using another socket to keep the strut from turning while torquing the nut.

I don’t understand why you’d want to cycle the pump so much. On the track, you want it running the whole time once the diff is up to temperature.
My guess is that you’d wear out the pump motor a lot sooner doing this.
Also, you’re going to have to run a stout wire from the battery back there...

I have it but haven’t used the charge test feature. For just wirelessly monitoring the battery condition, it works great and has surprising range given that it’s surrounded by sheet metal.
