Sync 3

$600 (screen & APIM). They sent me a non NAV APIM by mistake. I spoke with the seller today, they will send me the NAV APIM.

So, I got a Sync 3 APIM from a 2017 Ford Escape. So, I should be able to swap the brackets over and change something in the as-built via forscan, and it should work, right?

If all else fails, I do have a sync 2 2017 escape that this apim can go into instead.

The S550 screen brackets fit the Escape screen. Programming is easy part.

LKQ has a butt load of them but they all generally say GPS. Sending emails to the lots within LKQ doesn't get a response.

Calling LKQ does get a response but the lady told me they need the OEM part number to ensure you are getting the right part with all the options.

Make sure you flash all of the data from a 2016 premium car with the exact same options as yours.

I've been searching through the thread but if someone can point me in the right direction or page?

I reset all my as-built when troubleshooting a different issue but now my radio is set to my base values. Carplay and Android still work but when I make phone calls the call shows up on screen but all the audio switches to am/fm radio.
I tried using full lines from Premium VINs I found online but then my audio is really low, I guess because those are programmed for the Shaker with more speakers?
Can anyone who switched from Base to Sync 3 direct me?

I think we need to do a video for as built programming and discuss what changes to make. What I'm finding is that sticking to a very rigid set of data is keeping people out of trouble.
V6 cars will always be a bitch but I think Brett has proven its 100% possible.
For the EB, GT and 350 we can use the entire set of hex for a similar car and then change what needs to be changed. This is again a good reason to always request the VIN that your APIM or ACM came from
Oh, and if you need those acronyms defined see me after class.

Updated to the unofficial release of Sync v3.0. AA is much snappier than on 2.2, it's worth the update !
