I'm in the same boat, I don't see the track mode button doing anything. @Nagare do you see an indication somewhere that you are in different track modes?
Yes, when you lift the toggle it begins to display on the center display for Normal, Sport+, Track, and Wet/Snow. Move it up after that and it starts to switch through the different modes. Once you leave it over one for a bit, it selects that mode and displays that icon (other than Normal) in the bottom right. With Track it shows the helmet and also that traction control (bottom left) is off.

Each of them is definitely different.

Not seeing that. Must be something in forscan I'll have to look at later.

I made the necessary changes in FORSCAN and the different modes work on my base V6 car. The indicators etc change on the instrument cluster. I just figured they wouldn't actually work - but they do.

Enable drive mode toggle (part 1)

ABS 760-02-02 xxxx 7x (GT Performance Pack)

ABS 760-02-02 xxxx 3x (GT without Performance Pack)

ABS 760-02-02 xxxx 1x (EcoBoost All, V6)

Enable drive mode toggle (part 2)

IPC 720-06-01 xxxx xxxx x8

Fargh! All my settings are right, still no track modes. I haven't updated the sync 3 unit itself yet, however, I don't see how that would help...I'm lost on this one.

@HextallS550 is a great guy. I bought just his harness a while back - before he started doing the full kits. He didn't have to but he sent me the SYNC 3 FORSCAN worksheet for my swap and also included the instruction PDF he put together. (Very well done BTW). So I emailed him yesterday about the sound issue. He responded (very quickly) and wanted to see a screenshot of my current FORSCAN settings. I am hoping to be able to do that tonight.

So I verified that the sound wasn't set to DRIVER. Then I did a master reset. Checked again - Whole car was selected like default.

USB drive with music (same one I've used forever) - LH Channel (front and rear) CONSIDERABLY louder than the RH Channel.
Same result for Slacker radio, Apple music from my phone.
Same result from music from my iPhone via Bluetooth.

I wanted to do some basic troubleshooting to see if it might be related to the USB / Media hub I installed during the SYNC 3 swap.

Switch to RADIO input, everything is fine.

Weird. I'm hoping it's not something wrong with the used unit I installed. Guess we'll see. If so I might just use it as motivation to install an amp and upgrade speakers.

Am I imagining it?
I am having the same problem as well. However, it seems that the problem is stemming from the communication between the APIM and ACM since we don't have the same problem when using the radio...which POSSIBLY rules out the speaker connections to the ACM. I am also going to see if this occurs after I upgrade my audio system later this month.

One other symptom I notice is that there is a high pitched noise that corresponds to engine acceleration when this problem occurs. @ctandc72...do you notice this as well? While I HIGHLY DOUBT THIS...it could be a loose connection at one of the pins in the conversion harness. Will check this theory when I have the new system installed.

No high pitched noise or anything else going on with my setup. Simply extremely lower volume just on RH (pass) speakers when using any input BUT radio. I even ran the SYNC 3 speaker test in diagnostic mode and the tone it generates is fine in ALL speakers. Need to do some more digging on different ACM / APIM settings and go from there.

Wait there is a diagnostic mode? How do you activate it?

I also wonder if this could be due to how we routed our wires from the USB consoles to the APIM and FCIM...maybe there is some "cross talk"...might need to check routing and re-route to prevent this.

Also, does this problem occur for you when using the CD player...because that does not happen with me.

Like I said, mine is sort of intermittent...so it leads me to believe there is a problem somewhere with the connections of the wire harness...but will have to confirm this first (it does get bounced around quite a bit if it is not secured in the back).

Could someone please post the pin-outs for the Sync 3 connectors? Want to see where (and if) connections occur between APIM and ACM. Also would appreciate pin-outs for ACM as well. Thank you.

Hold the Fast Forward and EJECT button down until the very annoying (turn your volume down some) speaker tone test starts. Let is finish and you'll have a diagnostic screen.

Same issue we have if the antenna is bad (4D uses the cheap Amazon antenna) or the config data is set wrong
What are you referring to? HD radio swap or the problem with USB/Bluetooth speaker output? And what are the issues?

Hi everyone,
I have an issue with the SiriusXM and travelink. It’s a bit weird because I can listen to the radio with all the stations with no problem, however, the travelink data I don’t receive. I have the subscription for travelink and traffic, and on the SXM status, all of the features show as “subscribed”. But when I click on the icons to recieve the data for let’s say traffic, fuel or etc. a pop up window says that it might take several minutes, but the screen goes away in 2-3 seconds and nothing happens. So far, I have soft reset the unit, I have hard reset the unit, I have talked to SXM customer service and sent multiple refresh signals to no avail. Has anyone had an issue like this? I’ve updated to the latest firmware v3.0. I’d appreciate it if anyone could help me with this issue.

I'm working on a spreadsheet with APIM parts numbers that will work for the SYNC 3 swap. I've been trying to hunt down another APIM (Don't need the screen) to see if the APIM is what's causing my weird audio issue. Different interchanges / salvage yards = different "part names" when it comes to the APIM. Also some yards sell the screen and the APIM together (how my original setup came when I found it through car part).

Ordered one for REALLY cheap - figuring it was wrong and it was. No big loss. Then ordered another one - with the verified part number and what it came out of, but the seller sent my a totally different part (BCM w/ fuse box) but at least they were cool enough to do a refund and told me to keep the part. Anyone need a BCM? LOL.

I've got another one coming that is the correct part number, won't be here until next week so we shall see. And I just ordered another one - confirmed with the guy on the phone (he had the part in his hand) that it was the correct part number.

So I may have an extra APIM or two in the next week or so if anyone is looking.

FYI...got my system installed yesterday (love it...just need to add a DSP to take care of alignment)...problem seems to be gone...so it is either the APIM sending a screwed up signal through the CAN BUS network or a loose connection on the ACM side, or a loose connection elsewhere...not sure. But everything seems to be working.
