Sorry about your Mustang, I sure it can be easily fixed and wont cause any internal problems. Also about the popping sound I can confirm that my car does it in extremely cold weather. When it sits overnight and I start it up in the morning it pops. I have to turn out of my space when I go to work. The days we had 45 degrees and above it did not pop. I had a feeling that it was the tires because my Camaro also made a popping noise from time to time in the cold.

mine does it when I pull out of the drive way and head out left. It clunks about 2 or 3 times when I pull out. Seems like some sort of binding issue. dunno

Just to follow up. I got the clunk/skip/thunk yesterday for the first time in quite some time. The temperature had dropped from the 60's the day before to around 30 degrees and it seemed to be the tire making the noise. Mine at least seems to be totally temperature driven and especially if there are drastic temperature drops of more than 30 degrees. Today 45 degrees and nothing.
I am still getting the noise... almost regularly from the front suspension.... I think it's normal... taking of and turning its pretty apparent

Hey Brandon,

Has it become more distinct since your last dealer visit? If so, it may be worth checking in with them again. PM me some details; I'll see how to best proceed.

I have the same noise, only mine comes from the passenger side. It has been getting worse lately. I used to think it was only in cooler weather, but it never gets below 50 here! So, that's not really it.

But now, the sound is more often, not just backing out turning, but when starting out, going slow and turning. I can even slowly got thru a parking lot, steering back and forth and get it to pop several times on each turn until the car picks up speed.

This is definitely a suspension issue, need to get it to the dealer and have diagnosed.

Yep, have the same issue every morning on the EU Mustang. One loud "thud" under the right wheel when it's cold and I do the first sharp right turn to drive out of the parking space.

The factory strut mounts on the Gen5 Mustangs are junk and start popping around 30k miles. I'm on my 3rd Gen 5 Mustang so I know 1st hand. I installed Steeda HD struct mounts and the popping went away.

Mine has just developed this sound, course didn't do it till I had my dealer do my alignment (that's a story in itself) I'm gonna take it back just to make sure they didn't forget to tighten something. Gotta figure out the pop from my rear end as well, think that might be my bmr diff lock outs tho

Another 15 GT PP with the loud pop/clunk noise that occurs when you turn the wheel on cold mornings. Hope that Ford comes out with a fix for this because besides this one issue, I've had nothing but happiness with my GT over the past 10 months!

I get clunking on mine coming out of my drive way when I turn the wheel to the right. Both left and right side will clunk after going over a bump.

I was under the impression that this was my steeda lowering springs but perhaps it could something else

My stock suspension also clunks in the front when going over speedbumps. No noise on uneven roads
