very happy with this on a recent big trip I took. This was 95% highway with my cruise set at 75-82 almost the entire portion of highway drive time. Under the same conditions/etc, my 2001 5-speed 260 hp 4.6L V8 would have been about 20 mpg. I guess that’s technological progress!

Yeah, at 65-70 on flat ground you can easily hit 30 with the 6 speed. I assume the 10 speed is even better.

i found that out soon after getting my 6 speed! One particular leg heading towards the SC coast I got 27-28 mpg. Averaged 24-25 on other tanks on that trip. I was floored!

What really continues to amaze me, is that i get 18-20 when i drive it spiritedly, didn't expect that at all! Same driving would have been about 15 mpg at best in my 97 GT, and alot less fun (fast).

With my 2002 GT, on the highway, I would get 28.1 mpg. The 2019 GT gets 27.9 mpg. Both auto. Nominally the same mpg despite 50% increase in power.

I do CA to AZ runs and on flat highway portions with no traffic with my A10 I can hold 30-32. I can get 450 miles out of a full tank sometimes.

Our last road trip was just over 8000 miles and 23 states. I would reset my Trip 1 after every fill and some tanks I was 29-30 MPGs We’ve taken several trips and I’d see 25+ consistently .

It is pleasantly surprising how good the mileage is in these GT’s. I take secondary roads to work, in maine where most times im moving steady at 45-55 mph. Ill consistently get 22-23 mpg

for an 8 cylinder engine im thrilled with the mileage, my old 2017 ecoboost used to get about 25-26 on the same roads…

I have seen 34.5 from my out-of-the-box Ecoboost Premium on a fairly level run. Wonder if there's a tune out there that would produce 40 - 45, maybe 50 mpg without damaging the engine.

I regularly get 25+ on my manual 2022 Mach 1 on highway trips. It generally does better than the my 2020 Acura RDX unless I get into some serious spirited driving

My 22GTCS regularly gets 26-28mpg on the interstate here in mostly flat north Florida and I set my cruise at 83 and run that speed about 70% of the time when traffic allows and rarely below 78.

Every day driving nets me 21-22mpg and I reset the odometer every thousand or two miles or before a trip somewhere.

If you use the old fashioned method of miles from the trip meter divided by the gallons printed on the receipt, you will find that the true MPG runs about 5% lower than what the dash indicates.

But you can use that number to enter a correction factor for your car via Engineering Mode.

That is, if you wanted to.

I changed my AFE to 0.950 as it was reading a little high (default was 1.000) so now more accurate and I did register 29 mpg from SLC to Vegas. I imagine the A10 and my 3.15 stock gears were responsible as I'm sure 3.55 gears would've resulted in a little lower mpg. Still, in such a heavy car with a powerful V8, it's incredible fuel economy compared to similar powered cars in the "old days".

Shoot I've gotten 28+ on the highway with the A10.

25 is when I'm having fun and/or cruising at 90+.
