Either way, the price difference is negligible and when you want more horsepower, which we always do, you won’t have to buy them again. Just my two cents
The price difference is 3x, why do you guys tell people to buy stuff they don't need. Especially if E85 isn't even available in his area

u think id be fine with the stock OPGs?
At this point its personal preference. There's a bunch of good OPG threads on here. My personal opinion is if it's your weekend car or even a daily stock OPGs should be fine as long as you aren't beating the shit out of the car bouncing it off the rev limiter. Vibrations is what breaks OPGs. If you have a race car or you like to beat on it pretty good, then it's probably a good idea to swap them out

Just to confirm. Does banging off the ref limiter mean shifting at exactly 7400 rpm?(I have the 10spd). Or does it mean going way past that?

From my experience in having my shift points raised to 7800, the more serious concern seems to be in accidentally bouncing off the higher rev limiter itself and less important is what RPM you are shifting at.

The tune might be set to shift at 7800, but in the real world you may see the motor revving up to 8000 on rarer occasions.

I could be mistaken on this but from my talks with a couple tuners it's hitting the rev limiter itself coupled with such a high RPM that's the concern. I never hit the limiter and only a handful of times have hit 8000RPM

Start your car, floor the accelerator for 5 seconds, you hear that sound? Thats the rev limiter.

Why a tuner kit? It sounds like you're going to buy all the other pieces anyway. Why not get a complete kit? I was able to get a VMP Odin kit on sale. It comes with everything you need. The GT500 injectors, tune, tuning device, BAP, heat exchanger, etc. It's turn key. Initially it seems more expensive but by the time you piece it all together you're going to spend the same amount. The TVS rotors are what the GT500 comes with. Tried and true internals. Are you set on a Centri style vs Roots? Also I'm stock OPG & Sprocket. I was told I don't need them unless I plan on raising the red line above stock and bouncing off of it all the time. This kit should get you to your 700 WHP mark on 93. I'm in Oregon and we have 92 for some reason.

Yeah, I was also told oil pump gears are more for manuel because of the high revving but I did mine anyways 😅

opg are moreso for rev limiter banging, which is hard to do on a 10spd, however opg can still fail randomly, but overall probably not needed

go with gt500 injectors, bap for fueling, its the cheapest simple way to make 93 max power

new one step colder plugs

tuning is the most important part, i recommend wengerd, but tune is what will make the power, and make it reliable
