Sump volume between dipstick top and bottom

Anyone know how much oil to add to bring bring sump oil level from the bottom of the cross-hatched dipstick range to the top? Halfway to the top?

I asked the same question here also ... nobody knows yet. I would assume it's 1 quart. The owner's manual says nothing. If you are at the bottom of the hash marks, put in 1/2 qt and see where the level goes. If it's at about 1/2 in the hatched area, then it's probably 1 quart from bottom to top of hatched area. BTW, the hatched area is for checking the oil cold. The hole at the top will be the full mark when the oil is hot, and the oil will be at the top of the hatched are when cold. I've verified that at least.

I changed my oil the other day and after the 8 quarts it was still about 1/3 to 1/2 quart low. It originally showed halfway up, and a little less than a half quart topped it off.
