I had a SeaSucker years ago that I used on my Jaguar and Infiniti. They are rock solid. Never an issue. I tried to find a picture but couldn't find one.

I stick my Domane in the trunk. Guy at my LBS said he used Sea Suckers all the time on sports cars with no problem.

2 weeks ago drove feom STL to NOLA with the bike in the trunk, rear seats down. No issues. Ive got this fabric bag meant to keep mud from the bike from getting in your house. Keeps my trunk clean.

Pop the front wheel off, put it in the wheel bag, bag the bike up and go. I put some carpet padding in the spare tire well and as long as i keep the exhaust in normal there wasnt any more noise with the back seats down vs up.

SeaSuckers look good but suction cups just make me nervous. I will go with a DrawTite hitch and 1UpUSA rack.

I have heard they are solid but I still can’t get over the downside if they decide today is the day. Suction cups are somewhat temperature sensitive. Cold morning to hot day can cause problems.

Loading on a nice car is almost a 2 person job. It can be done with one person but the margin of error is small.

Great, now I need to buy a new rack. ;) Quickr looks nicer but my 1Up is still good and it's free!

Our old Kuat is ready to be retired and I was set on a 1up. Then winter happened so got to watchin youtube... so thinking Quickr is the one. But if I had a 1up already doesnt seem compelling enough to change.

I totally like the idea since my GF and myself enjoy riding the bicycles. How do you get on to the roof, and off, without some sort of stepping stool, or even a ladder? I probably would scratch up my roof pretty bad without help.

I like to trail ride but don't want to be grouped in with "cyclist" as I don't think they have a good reputation in general :cwl: .

I too had the same concerns about the suction cups. So to solve the problem, I just bought an older F150 for a steal of a deal so that I didn't need to use the mustang anymore to mountain bike ride.

Yes, I'm a dumbass sometimes, my friends love giving me crap about carrying around a bike worth more than the truck it's being transported in.

Hitch rack is where it's at. I can see using the Sea Sucker for road bikes, they're lighter and relatively clean compared to a mountain bike. No way I'm having my filthy bike hovering over the paint!
