I wish mine fit without removing the real wheel too. Plus my handlebars can't turn all the way 90* to be flush with the frame. It has the bumpers on the frame. Taking both wheels off with the bigger axels and piling all my gear in around the bike is a pain. I love having the hitch rack but I HATE the look of the hitch on the back of the car.

I'm pretty sure it will work with the back wheel on. I would say for sure if the front passenger seat is folded forward.
My road bike fits with the rear wheel on. No sweat. But it's a 52 cm frame, not that big.

Can't do it with a '10-15 Camaro either.

Saw a '16 along side a '10-15 (both coupes) at a car show last weekend, both had the trunks open. The '10-15 trunk was small, but the '16 I had to do a double take. That has to be the smallest trunk I've ever seen on a coupe !!
