Stripes or solid?

I have race red with black stripes and I'm thinking of removing them for just a black roof. I agree with the darker colors looking better with stripes though. Plus mag with black stripes and the red accent would look really good IMO.

no regrets on stripes or color choice. I think the cars look quintessentially Shelby with the stripes...but I've seen a bunch of bad-ass looking stripeless ones too. I'm a big fan of magnetic with white stripes, as mentioned earlier in the thread.

I love the look of my stripes, but not thrilled that they are plastic stickers. Definitely more difficult to keep clean than the paint, and shows scuffs easily.

I Agree, which is why mine has no stripes - mine is not a Shelby. It's a Mustang GT350 built by Ford Performance. Although it does say Shelby 3 places, they're in locations I can't see while driving, thank God. 2017's even have it better, as it is only on the splitter.

If the stripes were painted on like on a Viper, it's a different story, in my opinion. Doing PPF on a striped car is a bit more challenging to get right as well.

Nope - it's Shelby's "Terlingua Racing Team" decal... just like the first GT350 race car at it's debut in Feb 1965 with Ken Miles at the wheel. It would be an understatement to say that Shelby and Enzo Ferrari didn't enjoy a pleasant relationship and this logo was sort of a way of flipping the bird to Ferrari and his race team.

And yes, that's air under all four wheels... Miles was a badass behind the wheel.

Shelby = stripes. You want non stripe, but a regular GT. My 2 cents only.

I see stripes on regular GT's sometime, it's like sticking an R badge on non-R . Wanna be.
