Results will vary. Some have them relearn very quickly while some do not. When I went to aftermarket tires/wheels mine took right at 25 miles to relearn.Bringing up this thread just to ask a follow up: does it have to be exactly 25 miles? Or can take up to 25 miles for it to "learn"?
I swapped on a set of 2016 oem wheels with tpms sensors onto my 15 the other day, it's been at least 10-15 miles and still nothing. Just curious
Might have missed it, but what sensors are you using? If they're Oro-Tek, then I completely understand the issues. Biggest POS sensors I've ever had the displeasure of using. V8Venom can attest to this.i ended up going through 3 sets, yes 3, tpms sensors before my car, the tool, and the sensors decided to play nice.
they are not oem sensors, so maybe that's what it is. but i definitely needed the tool.
I had TPMS replaced on our 06 IS350. They pulled the tire bead down to expose the sensor to change it but never dismounted the tire, so it never needed to be rebalancedSpeaking of TPMS... if a set of tires is mounted and balanced, and then you add TPMS sensors, will they need to be rebalanced?
Yup those sensors are pure trash! Haven't worked in my car since I put them on and yet American Muscle keeps sending them to me to replace. Umm...no thanks.Might have missed it, but what sensors are you using? If they're Oro-Tek, then I completely understand the issues. Biggest POS sensors I've ever had the displeasure of using. Go to Driver AssistWhere do you press reset in the menu?
First 2 sets were oro-tek, yes. Third set was a different brand and worked. OEM might work without a tool, but aftermarket is hit or miss...so this thread title is a little misleading.Might have missed it, but what sensors are you using?
