You may have already been asked this but how do you deal with wind noise when you use your go pro outside the car?

I added an external mic under the rear bumper to get better sound. No more wind noise. ;) When the GoPro is on the outside, I just use a little bit of duct tape to keep the wire secure to ensure it isn't flapping around.

Everything was bought on Amazon for about $35.

-- Gohero MIC Universal 3.5mm Jack Wired Nylon Housing Microphone for PC $4.44
-- Movo WS1 Furry Outdoor Microphone Windscreen Muff for Small Compact Microphones $12.95
-- Movo GMA100 3.5mm Female Microphone Adapter Cable to fit the GoPro $8.95
-- PlugLug 3.5mm Male to 3.5mm Female Stereo Audio Cable (8 Feet Black) $7.99

I have a second mic I need to get around to mounting under the hood to mix in engine sound along with the exhaust. ;)

Car looks awesome, got the tow hook because it looks good on your car and has a purpose. Question, just received it today the black rod that screws into the hook, the thread are do long (won't screw all the way down) came with a nut is it supposed to be used as a spacer

Yes? lol I honestly don't recall from when I installed mine, but I think so. You could always contact Dusold and ask the. They are quick to respond.

Funny you should ask… I just installed mine last weekend. That nut is used as a jamnut to make sure you have perfect horizontal alignment of the tow hook in the front. Then you can reach behind your bumper/grill with the wrench to tighten it, And yes it will leave at least a few threads visible, but you can't really see it from looking in from outside the car, even with a grill delete.

Installed Auto-Blip today... Curious to see how well this works at the track since I just can't get my brain and feet to work together for good heal-toe. ;)

just bringing this thread up to compliment the OP on the car and to tell him that he is solely responsible for my entire exhaust setup, lol.

How are you finding auto blip?
Does it blip throttle when changing down without brakes applied?

How much did it cost and what's involved with the install?

lol. I love it. It's a little too loud for some, but I love it. Clean, crisp, and loud! :headbang:

It's actually pretty cool - I haven't had much chance to really give it a full workout, but I'll be at the track in a couple weeks.

You have to press the brake first, and then fully depress the clutch before it blips. When I first tried it out I figured there was no way I'd be using it during daily driving (there's a simple on-off switch); I kept getting the blips at stop lights, and when I didn't really want it. After a few hours i found myself changing my habits and it wasn't an issue and I got used to it.

Install is easy if you are a bit of a contortionist. There are two wires on the clutch, brake, and throttle you have to tap. The real challenging one is the brake, but all in all it took me about 60-90 minutes including calibration and I'm a fat bastard...

Cost is $400 new - I picked it up from another forum member for a lot less.

Here's Facebook Live video from Grassroots Motorsports on it:

There are others on YouTube as well.

Here's a video from my last track day with the auto-blip. It took a few laps to get the settings right, but once I did it was great.

Side note: The new ATS-Vs are FAST. It was every bit as fast as I was. You'll see shortly after we traded positions my brakes were boiling and I overshot a turn and had to let him back by. :(

Next track day I'll be on Castrol SRF brake fluid and I have the Vorshlag camber plates to help out as well.

Awesome build, Stoli. BTW, since nobody has taken you up on the 'Bonus Points for those who know the song' offer: 'Snowblind' by Black Sabbath.

Another track day. Mix of rain and overcast so it made for a fun time. First session was dry and by early afternoon it was dry again.

Playing in the wet with all the nannies off is the way to go - round and round. lol

Between the Vorshlag camber plates and switching to Castrol SRF brake fluid it made pushing the limits that much easier, fun, and safer.

Two wheels off makes for a dirty car.
