Wow, this turned into a how to drive Q&A real quick... Let's try and stay on topic, this thread is about stock block dependability, not how to drag race..
Driver mod is the main thing with these cars guys! Without proper seat time and practice you'll never get the results you desire (especially on street tires). I've made 90 + passes in this car. Taming the beast is key. Learning your car, and your track. Practice makes perfect.
I'm running 275/40/19 stock wheels with General Gmax all season tires. No LC used, You have to learn how to drive the car with the tire setup you personally have, on the surface you choose to run at. Low tire pressure and low rpm launch with progressive petaling thru 1st and 2nd is my method on pure street tires at my local Dragway.
