Stock OPG, making 750ish wheel on E85. Hasn't skipped a beat. I probably have about 10 passes on it and quite a few spirited pulls, usually at least once every time I drive the car. Also, Endless 3rd gear rips to datalog for tuner.

where are these cars that have had oil pump or lower cam gear failures at? iv heard of the 10-14 cars with issues, but haven't seen any actual pictures or info of any 15/16 cars with failures. from my understanding the 15/15 cars they revised the oil pump gears and lower cam gears. no they aren't billet, but supposedly they are revised from the previous gen 5.0l.

my car is setting at 631rwhp on 93, and keeps making power to my redline set at 7300. if i make runs i pull the car to 7300. all this talk about the oil pump gears and lower cam gears make me worrisome, but i have yet to see concrete evidence of the failure on the new models.

if i see some evidence and a valid reason to pull the front of the motor apart ill do it over the winter.

Half shafts?
way i see it..
clutch is an absolute must, half shafts are a must if you run any drag radials or slicks, and personal preference solid IRS bushings and diff bushings.

engine wise, as most have stated a good solid tune is the basis to a long lived motor. enough fuel for your power output and a good tune go along way.

also wouldn't running an ATI balancer or the likes help with the oil pump gear issue? from all the reading I've done, the harmonics of high RPM are a huge cause in the oil pump gear failure. the added stress on the crank from belt driven forced induction also, because it cause more stress on the crank.

so if you do billet gears, id still want a nice ATI balancer on there as well

My car is an auto so it doesn't leave all that hard with the stock stall. It still has stock half shafts. I rev the car to 7700 with boss intake.

From what I've read the 15 lower gear is actually thinner/weaker then the previous 11-14 gear. I haven't seen or heard of failures yet. I asked a local well-know shop and he said he hasn't seen/heard of any yet either?

Hey guys! I've been racing all season with the Roush Phase 1 kit, making 617whp. On a virtually stock setup. I have ford racing half shafts and cat back exhaust only. The car has 11,000 hard as hard gets miles on her, and is running strong as ever. I've made around 90 passes at the Dragway and haven't a complaint about reliability and strength. I expect the clutch to be the first ting to go, but haven't experienced any signs yet.

Hey what trap speeds has it done? And do you use slicks or drag radials? Whas your best 1/4mile time? Thanks

My highest trap speed has been 131mph, I'm running street tires and have made several 11.0 passes. I'm mt82 and leaving the line very easy since I'm on street tires. But those nice traps and low et's came out of an improved 670whp setup.. Off the 617whp phase 1 only setup, I was trapping 127mph at 11.2 on street tires.

What pulley are you running? What fuel? I'm running similar times/mph on 20's. Thanks!

Incredible times for sure!
What wheel/tyre size and what tyres you running buddy? You using launch control and if so what RPM launch?
