steering wheel suggestions

I'd like to simply upgrade to the 2018 steering wheel for my 2016 Mustang GT.

However, after looking into this I'd have to buy the 18 airbag and maybe other parts.

Has anyone done this swap?

Nope, but if it can be done I could sell you my 2018 wheel and airbag for your 2016 airbag so I can use my custom DCTMS steering wheel... just have to be sure the 3 electrical connectors are the same on both airbags...

We are dealing with safety features that I want to make sure the airbag deploys in case of an accident.

That is the type of design or style I like, where it looks factory and the actual wheel is not bloated or “fat” looking like many of the other aftermarket or custom offerings. No offense to those custom vendors or members who have that “fat” type of steering wheel, but to me, those type of carbon fiber/awkward shaped steering wheels just look out of place and overly thick... kinda like one that would be fixed to an 80’s sit down arcade driving game...
