Any suggestions to upgrade the stock steering wheel on a 16 GT premium automatic? Better quality leather?

There's a lot of options depending on what you want. Based on asking about leather quality, I think we can skip over the whole track car / lightweight wheel selection.

I've had my eye on getting a Beith wheel, but can't justify the price. It's definitely not overpriced, but it's still a lot of money.

Similarly, there are the GT350 and GT350R wheels which swap pretty seamlessly into the GT. Those are more affordable than the Beith stuff, but the only real upgrade is the alcantara, otherwise it's pretty much the same wheel. I know LMR has their own versions of these wheels for a bit less too, under their SVE branding.

Your options are to get the wheel re-wrapped by a custom upholstery shop, buy a wrap from someone like Redline Goods, or to swap a GT350/R wheel. Either way, you're probably looking at $250 - $400.

Just throw the GT350R wheel in it.

I sure like my GT350 wheel. Ya, its basically just the leather upgrade, but I feel the quality control was really bad on my GT wheel, and the 350 wheel is better.

GT350 or GT350R wheel. I went with the GT350 because the black/silver matched my interior better than black/red. Both the same wheel though, and both are a nice upgrade over the stock wheel.

I just bought an 18, and my barely used DCTMS all leather wheel with red stitching I bought for my 2015 does not fit since they changed the air bag. Cost me $350 and used for a couple of months. In perfect condition. I really hate to part with it because I really love the feel of it! But alas, it no workey on the 2018.

Make me an offer I can’t refuse and it’s yours! PM me if interested.

I'd like to simply upgrade to the 2018 steering wheel for my 2016 Mustang GT.

However, after looking into this I'd have to buy the 18 airbag and maybe other parts.

Has anyone done this swap?
