We have had excellent luck with the MT82. We just replace it after three years of racing.

Steeda likes to build cars that everyone can relate too, with out blowing the budget.

The most expensive component is the engine.

Best,

Steeda Tech
I'm going to assume with the MT82 setup you had a unit mounted shifting solution as opposed to leaving it mounted to the body, and you had a different clutch. Do you mind disclosing info on either of those? Thinking about sticking with the MT-82 (vs moving toward Tremec) but the clutch and shifter for track is what I'm trying to figure out for my '17 GT.

Fantastic - thanks!

What about the clutch you're running? How often are you swapping it?

does that mean you're going to use (or develop) snout support?
No. This is unusual that it happened. We thought possibly that the bolt came loose, but that was not the case.

Happy New Year!

TJ, please give us MT82 guys some more insight on Steeda’s drag car when it had the MT82 tranny in it. Information pertaining to manual drag cars appears to be very scarce nowadays. Things like suspension, which tires, clutch, launch rpm and method worked best. Lastly, at what point and why was the decision made to switch to an auto tranny? Thanks.

We frequently conduct wheel changes and tire configurations for testing purposes, and our preferred brand for these operations is Nitto.

Over time, we have established a strong and mutually beneficial relationship with Nitto due to their exceptional products and reliable support.

Their tire offerings align well with our testing needs, making Nitto the brand of choice for our testing and evaluation activities.

I will inquire on what type of set-up we were running on this day.

Best Regards,

TJ
