Hello
Im thinking to install Steeda Shifter Base Bracket and Transmission Mount Bushing Insert (seems like not really expensive upgrade)

Somebody here have this setup ??? (2015 gt manual)
- how this feel and its is really noticeable different
- or is better to go with Blowfish racing manual shifter support bracket
Or what is you recommendation to improve this MT 82 shifting ---- any advice is welcome

Go for bushing insert and support, Steeda, whiteline whoever... this will stiffen the mounting of the MT82 to the body. Not really increasing NVH.
Changing GB fluid IMO is an essential part of shifting improvements as it the Diff fluid - OP performance for fluids kit.
This will vastly improve your daily.
If you want fast and confident track shifting then that’s a whole new story.

i change the transmission fluid to BG Syncro Shift II Synthetic

Just there is big play at shifter i think (when is cold you can feel gear grinding between 2nd and 3th shift )

I've had the Blowfish kit installed for the past 5 years. Issues with shifting were gone and have not been a problem since. It did increase the vibration felt in the shifter and some harmonic vibration that "buzzes" in the cabin at around 3000-3100 rpm but is not present above or below that. Doesn't matter since I don't spend my time driving at that rpm. I have not compared prices but I'm sure the Blowfish kit is more expensive. If you are sensitive to vibrations I would probably go with the Steeda.

Also a reminder that if you are going to change out the bushing, do not get rid of the OEM parts as they will come in handy if you have issues with the drive train even if it is unrelated to the shifter. I am having to go through this exact problem at the moment. I did not throw it away but somehow I can't find it in my "just in case" pile of stuff. Good luck. Hope you enjoy your GT as much as I do.

Stiffen the mount, feel more, not unusual or unexpected. Form a person aspect, I fail to see the shifting problem folks post about.

Thank you guys for responses definitely helpful for me

I have one more question (this car is new for me )
When i press the clutch and shift to 1st gear sometimes i can hear muffled dull bang or clang from under the car ( like driveshaft has some play or something)
Somebody have experience with something like that ???
Or its normal and i just should ignore it.

THX

If its the same kinda thud I have then its normal, or has been in every 550 I've been in. Even more so when cold.

Two weekends ago I put a transmission mount bush in my friends 2015 vert, this last weekend I took it out. The noise and vibration was more than he could take. I went for a ride and have to admit that I heard noises I wouldn't have believed was amplified by that bushing.

I did the trans insert and the Steeda Bracket for the stock shifter, and it vibrates so bad I can't take it.. I should have never messed with it. My car shifted fine and felt smooth, Now it shifts like crap, Clunks and dump's into gear now, and makes noises' I have never heard before!? I am so upset with myself.. I wasted a 100 on labor plus the parts and now I have to waste another 100 to have this crap removed.. Now i won't sleep this rest of the weekend till I can get back to the shop Monday, and hope and pray he can fit me in. OMG it's so laud too, I can't do it.. I knew I should have left it alone the car already shift perfect with only 11,000 miles on it.. What a dummy I am, I guess I will leave the trans insert in and put the stock sheet metal bracket back in and hope it goes back to normal..

I am not positive, but I think the trans mount bushing is where the NVH is coming from, not the bracket. I also think the trans mount bushing is easier to take out, so I would try that piece first.

Thanks for your response.. I am going to take some advice from friends and try and let it break in over the next couple months.. But the problem is I barely drive the car so it will take a while to break in if it does at all.. I only bring the car out on weekends and if it's raining or snowing I just leave it covered till the following weekend. I went for a ride in my Boy's All Polly Bushing everything, Trans mounted shifter, Foxbody and realized I don't REALY Know what NVH is at all LOL.. Thanks though..

Polyurethane bushings are stiffer, and not as flexible as the factory squishy. Yes, there will be some vibration felt, just the way it is.

Driving the car will not break it in. The purpose of the Polyurethane bushing is to firm up the shifter mount.
