The clip you mention when removing the stock bracket, I assume when you install the Steeda bracket this clip is no longer required?

Also excellent video and thank you! :)

Good to know, so if it makes these troublesome I can just go wild and tear that clip out and sling it in the trash can. :D
Once removed the clip is trash. It was pain in the ass to get off.

This is THE first mod anyone with a 6 speed car should do. It makes a big difference in shifting. I had it on my 12 GT and it was the first thing I put on my 15
I'll be installing the Steeda Tri Ax Shifter today. I am excited. It does make a big difference. This and the transmission mount insert helped a lot.

Hi. Follow several of your posts. You remove the trans brace
to install the bracket...Steeda does not in their pdf instructions.
have also seen other brackets not removing brace. Can it be
done as per Steeda ? They also now mention lubing the bracket

as for nvh, would you advise adding 1mm silicone pad at each mounting hole for the studs? Do understand the bushing makes
contact with underbody...thought the pads might be a plus as well, similar to Boomba washers. Thanks dman

I know, I know, thread revival but as this is the best install video I've seen for the Steeda shifter bracket and this thread is the first search result on Google, I figured I'd add to it.

Did this install over the weekend and the OP's video is perfect though I wanted to add a few things
1. I was able to remove/install the bracket without lowering the trans or removing the exhaust. A bunch of socket extensions and some pliers did the trick.
2. That little clip on the passenger side is a major pain. Removing the clip took up 70% of the total install time. Just keep yanking at it and it'll eventually come off.
3. The video says to install bushing first and then slip the aluminum bracket over the bushing second. I found it easier to install the whole thing as one piece.

I only have shifting problems while on track so that'll be the true test but I definitely notice a difference even on the street. All the slop seems to have gone now.
