I have had the Steeda bushing in for over 10k miles now. When I first installed it I noticed a little more noise being transmitted into the cabin but nothing I would consider excessive. If the car had come that way I would still have considered the car extremely quit in the cabin. There was zero addtional vibration.

Before installing it I would miss shifts to third and 5th quite often during spirited driving. Since installing I have not missed any shifts. Since installing I have taken getting a new shifter off my list.

dgc333 has wrote the most true post on the Steeda trans bushing, I could not done any better telling about the Steeda bushing, and mine has been on My GT Mustang from day one, and I have 10K miles on my Mustang, and I very pleased with the Steeda bushing, and all the other Steeda parts I have on my Mustang...... You can not go wrong........:thumbsup:

I'll ask this here at the risk of a thread hijack.

I've used Steeda (Pompano, FL) parts for a long time so it's a no brainer when the 2016 GT-PP vert arrives in the next two weeks.

There seems to be potentially three parts to the Steeda Tri-ax shifter upgrade: Short throw shifter, shifter bushing/bracket, and transmission bushing.

Cost of any of the three is irrelevant (to me), but I was wondering what the plusses or minuses might be to keep the long shifter arm as opposed to adding the short shifter? Would add the bushing/bracket and trans bushing either way.

I don't doubt the advantage of - also - the short shifter arm, but am wondering more about the effects on ergonomics, arm-hand position, etc. Might even improve eros?!

Spirited driving yes - banging gears at a track - no not our thing, but all good if that's your thing.

Thanks,

Pete

I installed the WHiteline insert yesterday along with the Steeda shifter base bushing and bracket. Both items were easy to install since I had access to a lift and the resonator cut out and replaced with an H pipe. The roads were wet and today are cold, so I haven't tested it to any extent, but it certainly feels like the shifter doesn't want to bind up on the way to third gear under load. There is more noise, but nothing unpleasant at all. I wasn't aware Steeda was also making the insert when I purchased the parts or I probably would have gone with the steeda brand insert.

One thing I found was that the crossmember had a bolt cross threaded from the factory and that it was not in contact with the crossmember.I was able to swap in one of the undamaged bolts and clean up the threads to use the lightly damaged one but I was disappointed in Ford for letting it get out of the factory with a flaw that should have been discovered.

As Flat Rock is producing about 1 car a minute, I doubt that they even noticed that the cross member was cross threaded. The robots are not programmed to tell on them selves when they screw up.

Yes it did. There is still a little NVH but it is worth it for me. The shifts do feel better and when paired with the MGW shifter it should be just right for me. For $30 you can't beat this part.
Going to install this tonight, thx for the video and feedback.

Install wasnt bad thanks to Steeda Jacking Rails. The grease that comes with it though didnt do the trick, I used some WD40 and a c clamp and got them in.

So what are your thoughts post-install? Did you get to drive it?

Feels lot less sloppy compared to stock. Definitely worth the price tag!
