Hi all me again,
Just wondered if any of you UK boys have took the plunge for a Steeda Clutch Spring. I'm not too bothered about the weight of my clutch par say, but willing to invest if there is an improvement in drivability.
Cheers,
Andy

I have as didn't like the standard clutch feel.

If you're not too bothered about the weight of the standard clutch then I wouldn't bother

I think it's a huge improvement. I felt like I couldn't gauge where the bite was before and almost kangaroed away from a stop. I love it and no regrets.

This is exactly my experience too. For me the Steeda spring is much better.

For the price, it’s got to be worth a gamble ... ?

I have one in my garage, waiting patiently ...

I had one fitted when I was having my service done at GT101 recently and I can definitely feel the biting point much better. The cheapest mod I’ve had but worth it

Same here. It’s not about reducing clutch weight, it’s about making the clutch force required consistent over the length of the peddle travel and removing that weird light bit mid transition that you get with the stock spring.

I ordered the spring the same day i bought the car. Had it in there 18 months now. It does make a big difference to the feel of the pedal.

Thanks for your replies guys. I’ve gone for the spring to see if it’s easier to gauge the biting point.

Clutch spring installed pretty easily, snapped one of the little tabs on the top bracket unfortunately due to the strength of the spring and the poor quality Ford perch. Managed to turn the perch so it’s unlikely the tab at the top will be able to move. Spring feels completely the same on push down but it doesn’t catapult my foot off on the way back anymore! Coming from performance cars, can’t say I’ll feel much benefit as I’m used to hard clutches but I can definitely feel a difference and for some it would be a huge difference I’m sure. Thanks guys.

Thanks for the nice feedback everyone, one of our most popular parts!

But as some people said above, if you dont have an issue you with your stock pedal feel, then dont get it... 8)

After all, we have plenty of other essentials for you too!
