  1. One month ownership

I doubt my experience of EH Wolverhampton will do much to fill you with confidence. Good luck.
  2. 2015 + Ford Mustang GT Shifter Assembly Bracket by Boomba

Can't believe you haven't sold this. I have one fitted to my car and it's great!
  3. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

Bit of an old banger the other bloke has. You'd think he'd get a new one.
  4. Your Best (Little) Mods Ever?

I thought the shift on mine was pretty pants, so I've done three things to improve it and they really have made a big difference. (I think all three came to under £200) 1: Motul Multi DCTF transmission fluid. 2: Boomba shifter base bracket. 3.Powerflex tranny insert bushing.
  5. Service options

Get mine done at a decent local garage. Cheaper than main dealer and not had any issues so far. Cars on a 17 plate, so out of warranty.
  6. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

Just bought one of these after my car left me stranded in Farm Foods car park yesterday. Odd cos it started up from cold no bother, drove there, then it refused to start. Had to jump it in the end to get home. Ordered the battery from Tayna Batteries. Hopefully it'll turn up promptly cos the...
  7. Sulfer/Rotten Egg Smell from Exhaust

If it's deffo coming from your exhaust, then I'm not sure, but that rotten egg/sulphur smell can also be caused by your alternator going on the blink. Got any faintly pulsing dash lights?
  8. What oil do you guys use in the uk ?

Motul 5-20 fully synth and regular gas. Been fine so far.
  9. Anybody here still work out?

Stuck inside here in the UK too. I ordered a 20 kg kettle bell (not expensive). Every day I just work in 6 sets of swings and goblet squats around other stuff I'm doing. It's not hard, but enough to maintain condition until all this Covid stuff is over.
  10. MT82 Shifting Single Metal Smack Felt in shifter

I had similar to what you describe - horrible graunch going from 4th to 5th quite regularly. For me a combination of 3 mods seem to have fixed it: Changed fluid to Motul multi DCTF, installed Boomba shifter bracket and added Powerflex transmission bushing. Result...all working properly. Not...
  11. So thinking of trading the Mustang....

Depends what you want your car for, but as I now work from home and only ever go out for a blast, I'm seriously considering chopping in the stang for a Caterham 620S. Stupid fast, sense of occasion every time and loads of fun. Not very practical, but I've got a Nissan Juke for that...
  12. CO2 tax in France

A cull is obviously a stupid idea, but the basic premise that there are too many of us isn't. Since I was born, fifty something years ago, there are now more than twice as many of us wandering about on the planet as there were then. So a lot of extra everything is needed to support us all. We...
  13. How did your Pirelli’s wear?

Just had my first MOT and my front Pirellis are both cracking apparently @ 10.5k miles. Not exactly premium...
  14. BG synchro shift 2

I was going to put BG Synchro in mine, but couldn't get any (did you order it from the States?) In the end I put Motul Multi DCTF in mine following a recommendation from guy in the US and my cogs have been noticeably less crunchy ever since. I'll be interested to hear how you get on.
  15. Insurance modified vs non modified

I'm hoping so! The policy says all "accessories" are covered. But as they don't know exactly what parts I've got on there, I suppose they're not going to say like for like. The premium was actually £382. TBH the value of my mods is pretty modest, so it's not an issue for me, but the low premium...
  16. Insurance modified vs non modified

I used to be with A Plan and they were quite reasonable. This year I'm with Ouote Me Happy and they were a fiar bit cheaper. About £390 with protected NCB. I'm nid 50's 8k miles a year, car parked on drive. They didn't ask much about the mods, so all they have is "exhaust and transmission mods"...
  17. BG synchro shift 2

I think BG will probably improve the shift. No experience of BG myself, but I had similar issues to you and changed the factory fluid for Motul Multi DCTF and the improvement was quite noticeable. I've also fitted a Boomba transmission bracket, which eliminates a lot of play. The combination...
  18. Anarchy Motive ripped me off

I'm really sorry to hear about your, unfortunately, all too common experience with Derrick Tackett - knob artist extraordinaire. Like you I ordered a shift knob in good faith. Been waiting nearly two years now, so if it ever turns up, I'm expecting the Holy Grail of shift knobs... Unlike you I...
  19. What in Earth is this ? [UFO Help]

    I'm guessing after market alarm/immobilizer.
  20. Steeda clutch spring concern

OP, sounds like something is off in your set up. I put the Steeda spring in mine with the factory perch and there's no play, just a better feel on the pedal. Been on a couple of years now and not had any issues.I see you've already tried reinstalling it, so it's difficult to think what the issue...
