Anyone replaced the original 185lb clutch spring and perch and fitted the Steeda 35lb spring and perch?

I see the spring for sale at around £15 but cant find the perch for less than £85 both direct from steeda?

I bought the spring & perch from Steeda USA (which even including shipping was still cheaper than buying it from Steeda here). Originally had them fitted to my Ecoboost, i've taken it off my Ecoboost and did intend using it on my new GT, however Ford seemed to have changed the spring between the years because i have no issues with the new one.

There's a few companies I've stopped buying from because of their ludicrous inflation from USD to GBP.

well that makes sense to me, because I don't have a problem with my clutch, yes its a tad heavy, but I can control it perfectly.....I thought it was a must have upgrade...but if i'm not the only one then so be it,...money for something else :)

There's a definite difference between a 2015 clutch spring and the 2017 spring, 2015 was awful.

I bought the spring 3 months ago - it is still not fitted

So I already have the spring - but I am unsure of the benefit ...

does it make the clutch action lighter?

or does it just give more "feel"?

In other words - should I bother with fitting it or not?

cheers

Bob

No need to buy the perch, we stock it "just in case" you damage the OEM perch when fitting it. Ford dont make a perch so you have to buy the entire assembly for loads of money hence Steda making a perch for it.

You are much better off paying £15 only! Shipping is £4.98 for springs etc.
In stock and many peoples favourite mod. But if you have no clutch feel issues, then save yourself £15!

The default clutch feel is awful, definitely needs the spring changed
