Ford should team up with Steeda and FRPP, advertise a 460 hp and 410 lbft 2017 mustang gt with track package! Bump the track pack to $3500 - $4000 range and include lighter wheels, wider tires, lighter exhaust, steeda intake, rear seat delete, lower height with stiffer springs! Run the stock tune! Cancel the tech pack 400a and 401a for the track package. We are looking at 3640 lb 2017 mustang gttp everyone!

I'm definitely not bashing anyone else's product, I can only speak for what I have experience with. I'm sure someone is going to find fault with my data regardless but I know what I picked up and will prove that a CAI can pick up a decent amount of power with no tune. Post will be up tomorrow as I don't have a scanner at home.
Great, looking forward to see how it performs as I'll be starting out using the restrictor as well.

The great American way to do things lol. If you subtract the time I'm on the forum or taking a shit or both, I'm pretty much a part timer haha.

I've been mulling over options since last December and waiting for some miles to pile on. At 16,000 miles now and engine runs great ...not using any oil at all.

I had a CAI and tune on my 2006 GT about 4 months after I bought it...traded it in at 75,000 miles with no engine issues at all...so what the heck...ready to drink the Kool Aid again!

Steeda it is !!!...great deal going on today. I ordered the CAI + restrictor + tuner for $611 with free shipping.

I got the restrictor because I like the idea of being able to slap that in and return to stock if I ever need to...without having to put the OEM intake back in. Hopefully the only time I will have to return to OEM is when it comes time for smog check.

I know I might have been able to go with some other options that might have included tunes a bit more aggressive but I'm not looking to squeeze every ounce of power out of a CAI and tune...plus I remember one post where David said they like to keep their tunes in the safe zone...so that sounds good to me too. Not to mention this is a killer deal going on right now.

Anyway...glad I finally made a decision....looking forward to this!

David,

Do you suggest any throttle body spacers to go with your no tune cai? If so, shall i espect more gains with that setup or just for sound? Thanks!

It's up to you, throttle body spacers are good for maybe a few hp max. I would try the CAI as-is without it first :)
