The tapped holes where jacking rails go are likely used during production/assembly.

The holes in the subframe up front... I can't figure that one out, either.

I know one thing...

I looked at the underbelly of a new SS/1LE and it looked confused compared to the 350. But at least Chevy sent it home with a factory brace... it just looks hastily and cheaply done.

Installed mine yeaterday took 15 min, I had to remove the metal shards from the punch process of the k member, I also had to sand down the round slugs on my belt Sander because they were too long. Fits good and all, took a drive and feels fine I haven't had much seat time with it. It made a huge improvement on my 15GTpP. These gt350 will always tram line the front footprint is HUGE but you can mess around with front toe to help if you know a shop who is good at setting cars up.

Took a ride today and came across the town road crew filling in potholes. Had to drive through the aftermath, which kicked up rocks all over the place, so I scrubbed the tires (quick L to R transitions at maybe 30MPH). I do this often on my way home to clean the tires off as our road also ends up with a lot of rocks and pebbles. I was extremely surprised at the sharpness of the steering with this brace. It really made a big difference to me.

Just a thought: Why does Ford decide to punch holes into this sub-frame member? Bigger holes towards the front and smaller ones towards the rear. Is it they are in bed with the aftermarket? Same goes for the Jacking rails (which I also have). Ford adds tapped holes and inserts with hardware for no reason?
weight reduction!!:headbang:

I removed the punched out metal that was still attached to the hole and OMG the car feels completely different!

Unfortunately, Steeda.ca handles operations differently than Steeda U.S. - they are their own entity & do not honor our coupon codes.

Best Regards,

One though I had to improve the design was to triangulate the ends to cover the larger holes, thus improving stiffness further, with minimal weight impact.

Has anyone installed this with the shelby transmission cooler scoop? It looks like they'll probably interfere.. I'm wondering how much....

From what I read, the Shelby trans scoop and this brace are not compatible.

Not sure to what you are referring. Mine is a 2017 and it went on with zero issues to include any clearance issues. If the tarns scoop you are referring to is an aftermarket add on, then I have no clue.

Edit: I just found what you are talking about. It does look like it would interfere. I am sure TJ will chime in soon and clarify.
