I had a slight tuning issue with mine when first installed. It was easily fixed with an updated tune. I feel very sorry for those of you who are having issues. All I can say is don't give up, it has been my best power adding mod to date. Shaved a consistent.5 off of my ET

You got a half a second with just the headers and tune and nothing else ? I'm just asking ...

Yes. And I had made a few runs , all within 1/100 of each other. Also seems consistent with all the other stock 15's at the track

I read Shell Gasoline.....Not sure how accurate this is or the difference in it between NC and Texas but.........a tuner here local to me tuned my buddys 2013 GT and was having trouble with knock. He asked what kind of gas and it was Shell 93. He stated that they have had the worst luck with Shell gas and said that it has something to do with the detergents and when they add them in their process or what they are using. I cant remember exactly but to make a long story short...they had bad luck with Shell gas.

He even said to go get shell gas in a clear container and then say....Exxon or QT or anyone else in a clear container and said that the Shell gas will be almost yellow in comparison.

Again, not sure how true all of this is but he has been tuning 1000+hp cars for over 20 years..so.....

Like I said....I am not sure just how true it is or isn't. Just thought I would throw that out there. May be worth a shot.

Good luck though...keep us posted!

I really don't get why some people are having so many issues with headers and tunes. My car runs great and made a huge difference in power. I went from consistant 13.0s to 12.6 all in stock tires. That is with the bama tune also. I know there is a lot left in the car still. With tires alone I know I will break 11s with an aed professional tune im betting mid 11s full weight

I agree, I truely feel bad for them. I remember when I first got the headers on and didnt have the correct tune. I was like, did I just waste $2000 on this? After I got the corrected tune, I was very happy.

I hope it's just shitty gas, the knock is preventing my timing to advance over base

Make sure you don't have the exhaust/sensors hitting the car somewhere causing false knock.

Mine went 11.90s with no headers , so you better go mid 11s with headers.. That what I was hoping for is mid 11s with the headers ..After I added the headers and custom tune I now have a 12.25 car ...:(

Where are the knock sensors on these cars?
