I've scheduled an appt with a 3rd Ford Dealer to have my car checked on Monday. This dealer was able to eliminate the noise from a fellow member's car. Hopefully they're successful with mine. Someone from Ford called me today and tried telling me the same high performance brake pad noise is normal crap. But he even thought it was weird that my car does it mostly while turning to the left and at low speed braking. Wish me luck.
What Ford dealer are you taking it to? I still have the same noise when braking. You where are SCS? I was there with the magnetic gt. I completely forgot I started this thread. I haven't taken it in because most people said it's high performance brakes that make noise but now I think I'll take it in.

I'm taking it to McCoy-Mills Ford in Fullerton. I spoke to them on the phone and they have direct contact with the Engineer at Ford who's aware of the brake issues.

I have had the same issue and my dealership has opened a case with Ford engineering to resolve. Ford has confirmed there is an issue and they are working to find out what is causing this and what to do to resolve it. If you are having brake squeal I would encourage you to take your car to the dealership and have them open a case with Ford engineering. The more information Ford has, the quicker they can resolve the issue.

Hopefully they mean it when they said they're resolving this issue since it has been around since 2009...

Replacing the rotors, pads and calipers worked for another member with a EB w/PP. Have your dealer contact Mills-McCoy Ford in Fullerton, Ca. Have them ask for Joe Green so he can confirm that it solved the problem so far. Good luck.

Mine started doing this about a week ago after it sat in the garage overnight. It had been lightly raining during the day and the air was very humid. It's the loudest brake squeal I've ever heard come from a car and it rivals the brake squeal the garbage truck makes when it stops in front of the house every week for pickup, LOL!

When stopping at an intersection in a neighborhood, I've noticed people inside their houses come to the window to see if maybe the FedEx or UPS truck is making a delivery!

The squeal only occurs during stops made during the first 3-5 minutes of driving. After that, there is no more squeal until the car sits for awhile and cools down. I've not taken any action yet to see if maybe it will go away with some wear.

Yep, problem still solved. McCoy-Mills did a great job. Joe Green, service manager stayed on top of this. I had the problem in the back and the front brakes. Took a couple of months of reporting but finally got Ford to change calipers, rotors and pads all around. Problem solved so far. I think the problem was related to the pads and rotor. I was told by Joe that the Ford engineer told him that the original pads had grease between the two plates that held it which leaked out to the rotor creating a condition that caused the high pitch grinding noise. Joe checked the new pads and no grease between the plates. No squeaking since installation two weeks ago.

This was the problem and fix specific to the Eco-Boost PP brakes. May be similar or not for GT. Good luck John.

Non-PP GT brakes are the same as EB PP, so it should be the same fix. My car behaves just as everyone else is describing: a depths-of-hell howl on first stop after a long cold soak (most of the time, but not always.) One good, hard brake application and all is well, until the next time.

I haven't taken this in yet. Really busy and it's not that big a deal.

I'm experiencing this issue myself and even though it may not be the end of the world it is a little embarrassing to be driving down the street of my neighborhood and unleashing a banshee scream at the stop sign on my way to work enough to turn everyone's heads.

Dropped my car off at McCoy Mills Ford this afternoon. Service advisor said I should have my car back my tomorrow afternoon, so I'll let you know how it goes and what they changed.
