Hey fellas,

Does anyone know a good shop to get springs Installed without getting bent over on the price? I called a few reputable shops, and was quoted pretty high. I have done them myself before and would just rather not go that route this time.

Thanks

I called them up, seems to me like they are wanting a bit much just to install springs. Thank you for the reference though!

I did mine, it's not that hard if you have done them on any other car before. Takes a bit of time and you need an impact for the top nut on the front. Otherwise, save the cash and carve out 6 hours for the install. That time includes breaks and cursing at the spring compressor. If you decide to do it and want some help, drop me a PM. I've done all my mods so I am somewhat familiar with everything under the hood.

+1 on cussing the spring compressor. I even bought the one like they use in the CJ video.

I only used it to remove the stock spring honestly. To install I put the springs on the perch and used the jack to compress them into place in the car. Ive done it that way before and it worked great.

You could try Loaded Dice (LD) Automotive in Frisco. I think they were around $400 with alignment on my SHO. Not sure what the other places were quoting you, but I tried several shops near Frisco at the time I did my SHO springs, and LD was at least $80 cheaper than anyone else I talked to.

I'd be willing to pay about $200 for install but not any more, I've done it enough times on my M3's over the years that I can knock it out in about 4 hours maybe. I'm putting off the spring install until new shocks are available then I'll do mine.

shops charge by the hour, and its about a 3-4 hour job so price accordingly. I didn't want to mess around doing mine so i took it to HPP in lewisville. i think you'd be hard pressed to find a good shop to do it for 200

I'd do it for 200 but you would have to come to Fort Worth at my work. I work at the autonation dealership off Bryant Irving as a tech. Don't mind helping out my mustang buddies.

I ran into the guys from COBB in Plano at lunch one day and asked them about this. They said about $600 and that included the alignment so yeah.....not going to find a shop to do it for $200.

That a quote I can use? I work just down the street from you and would be willing to bring my GT and Roush springs to you for an install at that price!
