sport mode is available in premium models(be it eco or GT)...it changes your throttle response...and some othe shit... but its awesome... it brings out different personality of your car

I have the option to put my wheel in the sport mode...which I love. its stiff and holds in cornering really well. as for the throttle response, is there any way to improve this without having a premium? (sorry for thread jacking.)

Leaving work the other day, I was in sport. 2nd gear from 5 mph and floored it to get in front of traffic. Tires broke loose and I got all squirley.

In normal mode, that would not have happened. I would have been rear ended for merging too slow because engine power was cut.

?

I'm always in sport+ or track.
Including in city traffic? Like, if you're at a stop sign, and there's another stop sign fifty yards down the road, and then another stop sign fifty yards down the road after that, and then a red light 100 yards after that... what's the point of having it in Sports+?

Better throttle and steering response. I get why you auto guys wouldn't like it in traffic. But shift patterns aside, I find both the Normal steering and throttle response to be absolutely numb. Joyless to use.

If you really did floor it, the same thing would have happened in Normal. No? I thought traction control was only disabled in track mode.

Oh, I always always keep the steering in Comfort mode -- takes too much effort otherwise, I always like to steer with one or two fingers unless it's really spirited driving.

At the very least the first thing I do is turn off the traction control and put the steering into sport.

Normally though I'll put the car in sport + or trac mode. I only ever have it in full normal mode on the freeway with the cruise set.

Question, I just recently found out that my base GT has sport mode (double tapping the TC button in very rapid succession). Is this sport mode the same as the sport/sport+ mode in the PP cars? Also, when toggling through the steering modes, I can't really tell a difference. Could it be that I'm not driving the car hard enough, or do I need to be in sport mode to really 'feel' a difference?

I don't care for any of the steering modes in this car. Feels sluggish.

Haven't driven a base, so can't comment on the first part. But you can DEFINITELY tell the difference with the steering modes.

Put the steering mode in Comfort. Put your right pinky on the 3:00 wheel spoke, and no other part of either hand on the wheel. At a stop sign, make a right turn onto a cross street. It's easy; you can steer with one pinky. Doesn't work that way in other modes.
