Ok, I have the GT, 6MT, Premier w/PP.

I generally ride around in Sport+ Mode. Once in awhile I try Track Mode.
I don't really notice any difference in the throttle response from Track to Sport+ mode. Of course, the Track Mode disables the Traction Control.

So the Question is: Why can't one drive in Sport+ Mode and disable the Traction Control and then you'll basically have the Track Mode? Or, is there something else going on in Track Mode beside the Traction Control being disabled?

Also, am, doing my first HPDE at Lime Rock Park tomorrow. Have done it a few times with my underpowered BMW 328i and had a ball. The test for me tomorrow will be how well I can handle the 3x increase in power.
Wish me luck! LOL.

I think thats exactly whats going on between the track mode and sport +! Track mode disables the traction control for you thats all! It might be all hype, you see the Racing Helmet and its Game On. I also notice no difference between track mode vs sport + w/ traction off!

There are differences in stability control between the two modes

There's definitely more slip angle allowed before things get pulled in when using track mode.

Not just traction control. Track mode beats up advanced Trac and leaves it whimpering in a corner. Your stability control is still active if you just click the tc button. Hold it up for 6ish seconds to turn everything off.

To beat the Advance Trac even on Track mode you have to hold the traction button!

Also in Track Mode engine sounds a little bit different - I actually like it so much that now I am driving in a track mode only unless it rains.

I have nothing to add to the OP's question, but I'd love a report on the HPDE at Lime Rock. They're the closest track and would like to hear your thoughts on the event.
