So I'm new to driving a manual, bought mine without ever knowing how hahahaha terrible I know....

Anyways, I've always been curious to drive the other modes, but have always chickened out :headbonk:

Just drove it in sports mode for the first time right now and the difference is unreal. Shifting and the throttle respone is immensely better.

Can't imagine ever going back to normal mode, unless I have grandma with me hahaha

P.S. Just hit 500 miles today

Normal is great for saving some MPG/City/Highway driving/long road trips.

Sport = Fun mode.

I feel like it shifts way better than normal mode, especially from 1st to 2nd and 3rd as well. I'm no expert in shifting, but i didn't get some of the notchy shifts I occasianlly get

Throttle response is definitely better but it doesn't do anything to shifting. It most likely just feels better because you can anticipate the throttle better. Now if only we could set sport+ to the default drive mode...

Also i couldn't drive a manual when i bought my '12, there isn't anything terrible about it. What better way to learn than to have an amazing car like this as encouragement?

Too bad the law requires it to go back to default, not sure why.

The only thing that I currently hate about my manual is all the technicalities of the transmission. There have been a handfull of people with issues (noises, thuds, grinding), but I'm so new to this that I can't tell if anything is wrong. I should be more optimistic though hahaha

The shifting is VERY different in sport mode vs normal. For 1, it holds gears instead of up-shifting in case you're going through a corner I guess. It even aggressively down shifts when you are breaking hard.

That's for an automatic only. OP has a manual.

MT82's make noises. Those "issues" aren't issues.

I use track mode only now and am really confused why everybody praises Sport and nobody says anything about track. Differences are subtle but noticeable.

When you are in 6th in cruise control on the highway, put it in snow/wet mode. I have done this and get around 35 MPG for the 50 mile trip going just under 80. This is w PP.

When we first test drove a 2015 GT we immediately put it into track mode and left it there. Still felt very soft compared to my tuned 2011. Throttle was still very lazy in comparison.
