Not sure why you need the spare with run flats. You can drive the car with no air in the tire...
Who has run flats?

This topic again? :D

See my posts here, should answer some questions: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27732&page=3

Fits the spare tire well, but very tightly. Sticks up above the deck about 3". OEM jack and a collapsible Gorilla lug wrench in a cheap vinyl eBay jack pouch stows inside the wheel. Bolt on either end of the car and go, no BS.

I am in the process of making an extender so I can use the OEM "mobility kit" hold down thingy to secure the wheel/tire. Thinking hard about cutting out the spare access panel/liner so that my spare setup protrudes through it, sorta like a modern version of the '65 GT350 visible spare.

I considered run flats to. While they would probably work fine on the front they will give the rear end a problem in short order because of the diameter difference on the flat tire. Having said that I guess if you had a rear go flat you could swap a rear and front but would need to carry a couple of jacks and a spacer to get this done.

Most run flats don't change diameter. The sidewall is so stiff they don't sink down. You can't even tell a run flat is flat cause it looks the same as a tire with air. The side wall is so stiff, every one I know that has them complains about the crappy ride. I had them on my vette and they rode like crap. If the sidewall flexed you couldn't drive for 50 miles. The tire would heat up and come apart.

I put the Equus 19" spare on my 2018 PP1 car, BUT it has to be bored out to 70.66mm/2.782" to fit the Mustang hub. It clears the Brembo brakes in the front too! I got the spare on eBay for $175.00.
