So Sad ... Love my car. Hate the color.
So sick of washing this black car I could scream :explode: :lipssealed:
I'm ready to trade it in on a gray one.
Somebody tell me it's okay to drive it around dirty  View attachment 439380

A ceramic/glass coat will actually help a lot. Not TOO expensive, call around to local detailers and get quotes.
BTW, the magnetic gray is just as bad, if you go for a gray, go for the lighter silver color.

It's hard to keep anything clean around a gravel parking area like the one in your picture. That said, Your car looks great! Have you tried Meguiar's Hybrid ceramic wax? It's easy to take care of once you get the first coat on. Watch the videos too on how to apply.

I spray my black car down with a pressure washer using a de-ionization filter, no need to dry, because the de-ionization filter remove the things that cause spots. It only takes less than 5 minutes to do and the car drip dries, no need to use a chamois.

OK Scotty time to grow a pair. Only kidding :) Yeah, blacks a bitch but that's what you signed up for. Magnetic will be better but not all that much. Do not know what the 2021 grey is going to look like on the car yet.

So if you are in a financial position to trade go ahead and do so. You really cannot love your car if you hate the color. And yes, you can drive it dirty but this post shows that you will not be able to do that.

My magnetic is hard af to keep clean. Add that to rotating garage time with the miss's and yeah I'm used to driving around a little dirty! I just try to keep the rims and deck lid clean. It goes a long way in making the rest of the car look clean...

Something to help with dust is use a product like meguairs quick detail when drying it, or spray and wipe after. Those detail sprays help reduce the static buildup that hand drying causes. Dust won't attract to it quite as easy.

No, it's not as bad, nothing is. That said Magnetic is only a couple of steps up. Now that 2021 grey could be very interesting.
As I describe Magnetic, it's the next worst thing to black.

I bought that Meguair Ceramic spray wax but never put it on... I'll give that a go asap and see if it helps... Suppose to be 80º here tomorrow
If I understand the instruction correctly you spray it on the pressure wash if in / off

What filter system are you using? I have heard of this before, sounds like a great idea! Only question is cost, but definitely cheaper than loosing money on trading a car...another member suggested on using Di water in 1 gallon jags you can buy cheap, and rinsing car after a wash.
