My last 5 cars have been black and I have a long gravel driveway. I just live with it. I wash the car when I feel like it. Otherwise I just let it be dirty. For me it's a waste of time trying to keep a car clean all the time. But I could see if you lived in an area where there's very little dust in the air you might be able to keep a car clean all the time.

I don't think a black car has to be any cleaner than any other color. I think a black car looks good even when it's dirty.

My wife's Rogue is black. I hate cleaning it. I have to wash it first thing in the morning or early evening, as if it sits for even a moment in sunlight, you can't wash it without everything drying on it instantly. My car is a pain, too, the only saving grace is being a convertible, I don't wash the top every wash, so the area being washed isn't too bad. I usually wash it and then pull it back in the garage to dry it. Mine's a year round daily, so I've gotten used to driving it dirty, sometimes in the winter it goes for weeks without being washed and resembles a low, rolling pile of salt.

:crying: Note to self. Never buy a car from Toronto :giggle:
