37 Came from the world of 4 banger hatchbacks. Couldn't stop finding articles about the gen 3 coyote and how much it loves timing and boost. Had to check it out and never looked back.
61 here. 2015 GT PP Roush stage 2 w 727 package. My mom had a 68 mustang. I had a 68 goat with FBO `s. I loved the old cars but spinning out of control is not my thing with this much power. I see all these companies building old cars with old frames and suspension and expect it hold the road on a romp with 800 + hp. I`ll stick with Mustang until i`m too old to handle it. Just drive it to church on Sunday.
I’m 33 with a17 gt pp. this is my third mustang. My first was bought on a lark and I fell in love with it. That was an 04 v6 vert. Then I bought a 13 v6 because I wanted something newer and loved the looks. Money was a factor at the time and I chose to pay cash instead of financing a gt. This time I looked at a lot of other cars. I felt that for the money I wanted to spend that nothing else could give me the same features, performance and safety ratings that my 17 offered. It wasn’t a hard choice.
Reason why: I like powerful RWD cars which are affordable and practical enough to daily drive, and that's a small category. I chose Mustang over the Camaro mostly due to the poor visibility of the Camaro, and I chose Mustang over the Charger/Challenger because those cars are quite large and heavy, and I thought the Ford would probably be more reliable.
I was also interested in the BMW 235 & 335, but decided they were just priced above what I was comfortable paying.
36. Moved from a 2007 GT to a 2015 GT. Wanted a Mustang when I was a kid. Bought one soon as I could afford one. When that was totaled by a guy running a stop sign I couldn't move to anything other than another Mustang.
Born before mans landing on the moon. Drove a stick for ages and then got persuaded to buy an auto after a serious accident (and regretted it). Anyway after a 15 year break, with my kids learning to drive I longed to get back to a MT and a test drive it for me. Something in me made me realize that a stick with a NA V8 was a now or never ever situation (with the way things are going in the name of 'progress').
Not my first one, but the best one. I had an '80 Capri I put a built 289 in, a '97 V6, 2005 V6, 2012 V6, all great daily drivers you could put your foot to the floor all the time. After I got retired, I needed the V8 back.
