  1. My new (to me) 2017 GT350! Love this car!

Welcome to the club and congrats on the beautiful ride! These cars really are something special, and for me, every single mile driven feels like an event and it continues to be as exciting as the day I took delivery! You're driving a modern-day legend.
  2. Oil Usage (Or lack there of)

2020 here with about 2300 miles. So far, zero oil consumption with the oil level just below the top circle on the dipstick. I broke the engine in pretty much by Ford's recommendation, performed its first oil change around 1100 miles, and since Day 1 have driven it easily until the oils come up...
  3. Bullitt dreams slashed for now, considering an Ecoboost.

Don't settle, or you'll always be not completely satisfied with your expensive purchase. Keep saving and keep looking. By the time you find the car you truly want, you'll be even more financially ahead when it comes time to purchase. It may not be tomorrow or even a couple months from now, but...
  4. Six Yrs Later - C8 Z06 finally tries to copy Voodoo

Actually Mercury Marine built it; Lotus helped design it.
  5. Shifteck is absolute JUNK!!

I don't even know where to begin with this!!! Ho... ly... shit! That's so fucking far from professional, I hope those assholes not only go out of business, but struggle for a good long while to find any employment! Worthless scumbags!
  6. Prices are on the rise......

That's exactly how I describe the latest Shelby siblings to others when they ask about them: The GT350 is Ford's GT3, the lighter, naturally-aspirated screamer, and the GT500 is the GT2, the heavy-weight power monster. Both cars from both companies are incredible dance partners in their own...
  7. TSB for Secondary Cam Chain Tensioner

So I just went out and did the "oil prime" procedure, and the tensioner's "piston" certainly did move out, although barely: Before priming: After priming: I'd say it extended a further 1/32" or so from before, for maybe a total of 3/32" or 1/8" of extension of the "groove" out of its...
  8. Motor week new test track

Even though the ol' 75-80 Dragway was looking quite dilapidated, it did give us a more real-world view of a given car's performance on the street. The new track will look better on screen and should improve MW's test numbers, but I'm gonna miss seeing the old track in the background. No...
  9. New owner

Welcome! You picked the right color.
  10. 2019 Mustang GT 350

Iowa here: My 350 is $635 per year. Add in my 2012 Silverado, 2014 Focus (work commuter), my wife's 2018 Toyota Sienna, and then my two motorcycles and motorcycle trailer, and we currently pay somewhere between $1500 - $2000 a year (I'd have to look for the exact number) for annual pieces of...
  11. dash plaque

That "Oh" is actually a zero. I have Chassis #L0898.
  12. RIP Bobby Unser

    Another legend gone. :crying:
  13. Stupid People

Maybe the resolution was too low to be able to tell, but I didn't even see any attempt at counter-steering out of that. Some people just have zero clue behind the wheel.
  14. TSB for Secondary Cam Chain Tensioner

Per the Ford recall site, my car isn't affected. To be on the safe side, however, I'm gonna do the "oil prime" procedure and re-check the position before I officially call it good.
  15. Show your personalized plate

That's one of the things I love so much about Velocity Blue is the color shifting in all the varied lighting conditions.
  16. TSB for Secondary Cam Chain Tensioner

It appears that your groove is just barely out of its cylinder/cavity, but it is indeed visible. However, I'm not sure if that means it's activated or not.
  17. Show your personalized plate

We had the same thoughts: Sometimes I wonder if some people don't see the plate and think "It's a GT350. Didn't he mean VUDU350?"
