I DO know what you mean, Alex! I need to find a knot that will hold and if I find one, I'll letcha know. :cool:
Yeah, my Mom always told me I had "Flat Ass Syndrome" instead of Fat Ass LOL. But all joking aside, my watch is the only bit of metal on me when I wash, a fully fabric band so I make sure I keep it in the upright position at all times and use my right arm primarily for touching the paint. My right shoulder always protests when I am done :) I always even take my keys, wallet, phone, they all go on the work bench til I am done. Otherwise my doors are constantly locking and unlocking as I wash the car.

Same thing here, Alex, but being terribly absent-minded, I quite often forget to put on the nitrile gloves as I don't take the ring off.

Fortunately, doing the wheels first clues me in eventually but, I have found myself starting to hand wash, (after an initial foaming and rinse,) before I realize it.

So far, I haven't touched the clear coat with the ring (but it's probably just a matter of time. At least the wedding ring doesn't have any sharp edges. :-)
