6800 miles and I noticed this. Anyone have this issue/solution to stop it from getting worse? Warranty issue?

That's wear and tear, so probably 99% of dealers would decline such a claim, but you could always try :). And that's vinyl, so tougher to wear than leather. You have to be careful how you climb and exit cars with sport seats. You need to lever yourself in and out of the car with your right foot/leg, and left hand on the sill. I have to say this car is the hardest to do without activating the 'easy entry' feature, but I left it off. I can barely fit between seat and steering wheel without rubbing, but can manage that well. Plus I never use any jeans or pants that have metal or any other kind of buttons that could snag the seat. You could at least paint that black with a sharpie, so it doesn't look as bad. And try to get it fixed under warranty; doesn't hurt to try. Good luck.
