I can't use more than about 50% throttle on street curves without feeling like I'm being reckless. We do have several round-a-bouts but hitting them without other traffic is rare.
Onramps and all are fun without traffic, I like to get my speed on all corners before I enter them and do my very best to not upset the chassis while in the midst of it on the street.

If you do that on the track is fastest. You want to be as smooth as you can, it makes the edge a bit faster.

Absolutely, it still provides a thrill on road if you move quick enough.

I don’t drive like this in traffic or around people to be clear :cwl: .

This type of driving is why I wanted a little bit of camber to help the car (and I) out. I’m hopeful I can get a quick toe correction and enjoy these stupid front tires for another 13k!

Besides the inner shoulder wearing a little quicker they are damn near mint 285/35/19 Michelin PSS.

I’ve found my driver side fronts get ate up quick if the toe is out. I’ve had two sets replaced because of the shoulder wear and it started to eat the third set.

thanks for the input and strengthening the consensus. I’m going to go and see if the shop I go to will be willing to just do a toe/go for me on the front end of this thing without charging me full custom 4 wheel prices.

Do you mean "out of spec" or "toed out".
And/Or - it seems like even in-spec toe out on some cars has caused less than preferable tire wear.

This is all said understanding that toe out provides desirable driving dynamics for those that want it!

I had to replace my pilot sports at 17k miles on my 2022 Mach one non handling pack due to cords showing on the inner shoulder. Below is a photo of how the alignment was set from the factory. I work at an auto dealer so I have easy access to an alignment rack. I was told by my mechanic that there is no adjustment for camber at the bottom of the strut without tearing the suspension apart and boring out the holes at the bottom of the strut. Has anyone had any experience with the ford performance camber plates ? Will the camber plates allow me to get the camber closer to 0 degrees to save the inside edge of the tire? Or do I just need to live with the fact that I will be replacing tires every 15-18k miles.

I use steeda's camber plates up front for a few degrees of adjustability and BMRs UCA in the rear. Some camber is good for handling.

My suspicions and the posts above point at your toe as the culprit. Although “green” .27 deg toe in is quite a bit.

Camber does not wear tires, it is the .27 degrees of toe that is causing your trouble.

The only time you want 0 camber is on a drag only car.

Hey everyone,

Washing car today for the first time in forever, took wheels off for cleaning and noticed after 13k the front Michelin PSS are wearing a little more aggressively on the inner shoulder tread block.

The car was set to have just the slightest bit of toe in and -1.6 negative camber on the front end.

The rear was set similarly and is wearing (seemingly) more evenly. I won’t feel bad about replacing them when the time comes. It would just really bug me to have to replace $900 in tires because of the inner shoulder (as I’ve seen in other posts!).

I’m very diligent about checking tire wear/tread depth, so i’m hoping I can get some advice on alignment specs to reduce some of this front inner shoulder wear. The rest of the tires have a ton of tread (7/32, inner shoulder is probably down to 3-4/32).

Is this an alignment problem? Did I just knock my alignment out? Do I need to turn harder and more often?
Looks like you have some excessive toe in in the front.
I have 0.05 front toe in each side (static toe in), so when the car is moving the front wheels are pushed and tend to open a tinny bit.
I have -1.5 camber in front

Copy that, how’s your tire life? What tires do you have?

I’m considering taking a string alignment reading in my garage to confirm suspicions and then shifting my subframe over ~1/4in to fix some tire poke aesthetics before heading into the shop.

You’ve got some toe out!

go hit a good shop, pay the extra coin, and request slight toe in or 0 toe. That should help your tire wear out.

Your camber matches mine almost exactly. It will bias wear on the inner portion of the wheel but the rapid shoulder wear we are seeing is unusual. That should be toe related.
