I have a '21 mach 1 with automatic and 12k miles. I took it in for a warranty noise (waiting to hear what's wrong with it). I was joking around about trading it for something else.

Dealer called and wants to offer me 52.5k for it. With the car market so hot right now I don't know if I should take the offer or hold onto it (assuming mach 1's hold their value). I would be sad to see it go but at the same time there is always better things to replace it with. Basically is the offer too good to refuse?

I don't imagine these mass produced cars will hold their value in 20+ years like the older 60/70's cars.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of noise?

Apart from that whether the offer is good or not is is up to you to decide. We can hardly judge the fun factor and how much is it worth to you. Mach 1 is not a utility vehicle.

Wow dont do it! Do you really know what you have on your hands? And not a attack on you but you own the last generation of the S550 series baddest ass production car separate from the Shelby GT500. The Mach 1 beats out the GT350R on the road course track. Most are clueless and even me when I bought mine what this car has. Yes this car down the road will be sought after since she’s prepped for the track right now. And as will be mentioned this car was a sleeper production car. If this car had a Shelby badge on her it would be 25k more and be so lucky to get one with another 10-20k ADM. Good luck on your decision but my local Ford dealer has a freshly used one for 64K.

Like most have said, 52K is not a good offer. If you look at the market, used Mach's are going from the high 50's to 60's.

I do think these cars will be sought after in years to come. Good luck with the decision you make, at the end of the day, you have to be happy.

????? Umm, what???
More weight, less power, smaller brakes, less aero. How is that faster?

Honestly, the car market is slowing down. The days of "more than you paid" are over. If you tried this last summer, you would be getting way more.

Just my opinion. I always wanted my GT350, which is why I bought it. This car has a personality, and assuming there is no reason I need to sell, plan to keep it until I die. Then maybe be buried in it.

If you don't have that love for it I would sell it. But you won't make your $$$ back ever again.

Different driver? Different driving conditions? With all else held equal, 350R will beat Mach1 every time. Facts are facts
The Mach 1 has an auto which shifts faster, and hits the torque way sooner than the FPC. The Mach 1 stole the GT350 suspension, plus the minor improvements that were discovered in the GT350.

All that said. The Mach 1 name should NEVER have been used on the car. It bastardizes the Mach 1 of the 60's and early 70's, which went fast in a straight line only. The current Mach 1 can turn corners. Thereby, making it not a Mach 1.

Ford should have called it the Mustang SHO, or anything else. But not the Mach 1. Just like the GT500 should not be the GT500. But that is a topic for another day.

Don't forget the Focus RS front end design 🤣 (cannot unsee)

The Mach1 is a seriously cool Mustang in its own right. It's a keeper

Their offer does seem low. If you are seriously considering selling, you could shop around and compare bids. Maybe someone will surprise you, or, you could bid them against one another.

I think we are ending an era, that V8s and high horsepower will be under threat from here on out. I don't know what an M1 or Mustang will be worth so many years from now, but I'm not concerned. I won't be giving mine up until I either stop driving or die.
