MGW and don't look back. Build quality is amazing and I believe they have 4 options on how short of a throw you can get.

Install is a bit of a PIA but I did it with jack and jackstands and they have a very good install video.

Hear good things about Barton as well.

The MGW is a great option plus tons of customization options to choose from. Not only can you tailor the look to what you like you also have a few options for the shifter base and handle to adjust the throw.

I went with an MGW X-Spec w/Flatstick in my 17 and it was absolutely phenomenal! The difference between an MGW and the stock shifter is night and day and totally changes how the shifter feels. They are transmission mounted which help mitigate issues with gear lockout and takes that “slop” out of the shifter. Really great piece and one of the best mods you can do for a manual car. Let me know if i can help go over the options with you.

Steeda, MGW and Barton are the ones to look at. Add to that, a stainless steel braided clutch line and a transmission bushing insert to help take away any unwanted movement that can affect shifts.
